Travelling by train is a great way to see the scenery and everyone has the freedom to do what they want; go for a walk, have a snack, read a book, play cards etc.  Not to mention the fun of trying to find the right platform and carriage, lugging bags through a crowded station, people watching and dealing with hawkers on board.

This trip in addition to local trains there will be several inter-city train journeys, :

  1. Marrakesh - Rabat

  2. Rabat - Fes

  3. Fes - Tangier

  4. Algeciras - Ronda

  5. Ronda - Madrid

  6. Rome - Orvieto

  7. Orvieto - Rome

  1. Hotel Continental to Tangier Ville Port (Morocco)

Basic info:

  • Distance - 335 kms

  • Travel time - approx 4hrs

  • Train fare - 1st class is 195 dhs (approx  AUD $23) per person

  • In first class there are 6 people/seats in a compartment
